SAA Thanksgiving Dinner Monday, November 24

We will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for all students, families, and faculty/staff of DCOM this Monday! The event will take place between DCOM Rm 105 and the 2nd floor lounge. SAA will provide turkeys, hams, plates, silverware, and drinkware. If you would like to join us, please bring a side dish or dessert. We would also like to ask that you bring a non-perishable item which will be donated to The Manna House in Tazewell, TN. Please take this opportunity to have some fun with friends, as well as assist those in need. Lets kick off the holiday season with an "attitude of gratitude"!

There will also be barrels with fire, the pavilion will be closed in with plastic, and there will be an indoor area if you are worried about the temperature! How fun to be in beautiful Cumberland Gap with all the snow we're getting today! Grap your snow boots and gloves and come on!

SAA General Potluck and Business Meeting Thursday, November 13

Our next SAA meeting will be this Thursday, November 13 in room 105 in DCOM. If you would like to participate in the potluck dinner, it will begin at 6:30 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. This is also great time to drop off snacks for the study breaks for the med school. Hope to see everyone there with their smiles and ideas!

OMSI and OMSII Study Breaks

Snacks will be distributed in study rooms 1 through 8 for the first year medical students on Wednesday, November 12 at APPROXIMATELY 4:30 p.m. If you have a chance, you can drop off any donated snack items at Anna Gonzales' house anytime. If she is not home, simply leave the items on her front doorstep. If you need directions email dcomsaa@gmail.com with the subject: Need Directions to Anna's.

There will be a study break for the OMSII students on Wednesday, November 19. Items can be donated at the SAA meeting this Thursday, November 13, or dropped off at Anna's house.

Movie Night

Finally... I've been looking for days and they had not posted movies or show times for Saturday. So, here's the deal; If you want to go see Madagascar 2 then meet at the theatre by 7:00. If you want to you see Role Models meet at 6:30. It seems like meeting right in front of by the stairs would be the most ideal place. We hope to see you there!
